Viginia
I started working with children in 2009, where I taught at the same primary school I went to, teaching grade 1 classes and assisting with grade 2. At the end of the same year I heard about Montessori and went onto study the Montessori method for the 2 - 6 year environment, through the Montessori Centre International in London (MCI).
I studied until the beginning of 2011 and then taught at a beautiful small Montessori school still in Zimbabwe where I lived at the time, before moving to South Africa with my husband in October 2012. I had the wonderful experience of meeting Louise and her giving me the opportunity in April 2013 to be a part of this wonderful school and shortly after that I was given the opportunity to fully own and run the school, as Louise pursued family commitments.
I passionately first and for most love each and every one of the children and treat them as individuals and as my own, and realise the importance of a stable, safe, loving school environment. Especially as this is often where a child has their first school experience. I maintain this outlook when working together with my fellow teachers and make sure that they have the same understanding before they join our special family.
Virginia
Virginia joined Montessori Nosipho in 2011, under the then owner, as a teachers’ assistant. She quickly learnt how each apparatus was to be used to benefit the children fully and patiently helped each child to do tasks quickly with confidence.
Her quiet disposition, friendly manner and love for children won over any new children, who were obviously upset at being parted from their parents, and the morning tears quickly stopped.
When I joined the School in 2013 I had the privilege of working with Virginia, so when I purchased the school in 2015, it was obvious what an asset she was, and was therefore asked to stay on and join me in my new venture.
She qualified as a full Montessori teacher in 2018, getting averages of 85% for all her assignments, making it clear that she has a love for her job and is dedicated to her choice of career.
